Kasus dugaan pencemaran nama baik terhadap seorang jurnalis di Kabupaten Muara Enim terus bergulir. Hingga saat ini, penyidik Polres Muara Enim telah memanggil sejumlah saksi untuk dimintai keterangan terkait laporan yang diajukan oleh jurnalis Nopri Hartono.
Peristiwa tersebut bermula pada Minggu malam, 28 Juni 2026, sekitar pukul 20.41 WIB. Menurut pelapor, saat itu ia mengirimkan informasi terkait anggaran desa kepada seorang narasumber. Namun, komunikasi tersebut disebut berujung pada tanggapan yang emosional.
Sekitar pukul 21.32 WIB pada malam yang sama, seorang pria bernama Junadi diduga menyebarkan tangkapan layar bukti transfer uang senilai Rp1.002.500 ke sejumlah grup media sosial dan grup percakapan warga.
Menurut Nopri Hartono, penyebaran tangkapan layar tersebut menimbulkan kesan seolah-olah dirinya menerima sejumlah uang atau imbalan sebagai wartawan. Ia menegaskan bahwa dirinya tidak pernah menerima dana sebagaimana yang beredar dalam tangkapan layar tersebut.
Merasa nama baik, integritas, dan kredibilitasnya sebagai jurnalis telah dirugikan, Nopri Hartono kemudian melaporkan peristiwa tersebut ke Polres Muara Enim. Laporan itu diterima pada Jumat, 3 Juli 2026, dengan nomor STTLP/B/181/VII/2026/SPKT/Polres Muara Enim/Polda Sumsel, untuk diproses sesuai ketentuan hukum yang berlaku.
Hingga berita ini diterbitkan, proses penyelidikan masih berlangsung. Sejumlah saksi telah dipanggil dan dimintai keterangan oleh penyidik. Sementara itu, berdasarkan informasi dari pelapor, oknum kepala desa yang disebut dalam laporan tersebut hingga kini belum dipanggil untuk dimintai klarifikasi.
Kuasa hukum Media Selidikkasus.com, Arwin Tino, S.H., M.H., mengatakan pihaknya terus memantau perkembangan penanganan perkara tersebut. Ia berharap penyidik dapat menangani laporan secara profesional, objektif, dan segera menuntaskan proses penyelidikan.
Menurut Arwin Tino, apabila terbukti benar, tindakan menyebarkan informasi yang menimbulkan kesan bahwa seorang wartawan dapat dipengaruhi dengan pemberian uang tidak hanya berpotensi mencemarkan nama baik individu, tetapi juga dapat dipandang sebagai bentuk pelecehan terhadap profesi jurnalistik yang menjunjung tinggi independensi dan kode etik.
“Penyidik kami harapkan dapat mengusut perkara ini secara tuntas sesuai ketentuan hukum yang berlaku sehingga memberikan kepastian hukum bagi semua pihak,” ujar Arwin Tino.
