Menurut mantan Ketua IWO PALI itu, kegiatan tersebut merupakan kegiatan pertama pasca IWO Sumsel sukses menyelenggarakan Mubeslub IWO 2023 Palembang.
Efran mengatakan sejak dirinya terpilih sebagai Ketua IWO Sumsel langsung tancap gas menjalankan amanah yang telah diberikan anggota IWO se Sumsel.
“Begitu saya terpilih dari hasil Mubeswil ke – 1 IWO Sumsel pada tanggal 28 Mei 2023 lalu, kami IWO Sumsel langsung mengajak kawan-kawan dari kabupaten/kota untuk menjalankan program kerja. Yang pertama menjadi tuan rumah Mubeslub IWO 2023 Palembang, besok IWO Sumsel akan menggelar pelatihan jurnalistik berbasis ekonomi untuk wartawan IWO se Sumsel,” terang Efran.
Menurut Efran, kegiatan tersebut sebagai bagian upaya IWO Sumsel untuk merefleksikan kembali tugas-tugas pokok sebagai wartawan.
Selain itu, ujar Efran, pelatihan lebih menekankan untuk menambah nutrisi pengetahuan kepada wartawan IWO tentang bagaimana cara menulis berita ekonomi.
Efran mengungkapkan, dalam penyelenggaraan kegiatan tersebut pihaknya bekerjasama dengan Kantor Perwakilan Bank Indonesia Provinsi Sumatera selatan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas wartawan.
“Kita bekerjasama dengan BI Sumsel memberikan pelatihan tips menulis berita ekonomi,” ungkap Efran.
Efran mengatakan pada kegiatan tersebut akan hadir kurang lebih seratus wartawan IWO yang menjadi peserta pelatihan.
“Dari laporan panitia sudah ada seratus lebih wartawan yang mendaftar,” ujar Efran.
IWO Sumsel, menurut Efran, akan menghadirkan narasumber wartawan Sumeks.co Dwitri Kartini, Direktur Kantor Hukum Nusantara, Tabrani, SH dan Ketua IWO Sumsel, Efran.
Sementara, Ketua Panitia Pelaksana, Imron Supriadi mengatakan sampai saat ini persiapan sudah mencapai 95 persen.
“Sejauh ini persiapan sudah hampir rampung. Baik tempat acara maupun penginapan,” kata Imron saat dikonfirmasi ditempat acara, Minggu (19/11).
