Jakarta- MUI Tetapkan Vaksin COVID-19 Produksi Sinovac Halal dan Suci Pada 8 Januari 2021
Komisi Fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Pusat menetapkan Vaksin COVID-19 produksi Sinovac halal dan suci.
Penetapan ini diambil setelah Komisi Fatwa MUI Pusat menggelar rapat pleno secara tertutup di Jakarta, Jumat (08/01/2021).
“Yang terkait aspek kehalalan, setelah dilakukan diskusi panjang penjelasan auditor, rapat Komisi Fatwa menyepakati bahwa vaksin COVID-19 yang diproduksi Sinovac Lifescience yang sertifikasinya diajukan Bio Farma, suci dan halal,” ujar Ketua MUI Bidang Fatwa KH. Asrorun Niam Sholeh usai rapat pleno.
Menurutnya, meski sudah halal dan suci, namun fatwa MUI belum final.
Sebab, penggunaannya masih menunggu keputusan Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) terkait keamanan (safety), kualitas (quality), dan kemanjuran (efficacy).
“Akan tetapi terkait kebolehan penggunaannya, ini sangat terkait dengan keputusan mengenai aspek keamanan, kualitas, dan efficacy Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM).
Ini akan menunggu hasil final kethoyyibannya. Fatwa utuhnya akan disampaikan setelah BPOM menyampaikan mengenai aspek keamanan untuk digunakan, apakah aman atau tidak, maka fatwa akan melihat,” ujarnya.
Niam merinci, rapat yang diikuti pimpinan dan anggota Komisi Fatwa MUI Pusat tersebut, hanya membahas dan menetapkan kesesuaian syariah Vaksin COVID-19 yang diproduksi oleh Sinovac Lifescience.
Ada tiga vaksin produksi Sinovac yang didaftarkan yaitu Coronavac, Vaccine COVID-19, dan Vac2 Bio.
“Artinya yang kita bahas hari ini adalah mengenai produk vaksin COVID-19 dari produsen Sinovac ini, bukan yang lain.
Pembahasan diawali dari audit dari auditor,” ungkapnya.
Komisi Fatwa menetapkan kehalalan ini setelah sebelumnya melakukan kajian secara mendalam terkait laporan hasil audit dari tim MUI.
Tim tersebut terdiri dari Komisi Fatwa MUI Pusat dan LPPOM MUI.
Tim tersebut sebelumnya telah berpengalaman dalam proses audit Vaksin MR.
Tim itu tergabung dalam tim Kementerian Kesehatan, Bio Farma, dan BPOM sejak bulan Oktober 2020. Mereka bersama tim lain mengunjungi pabrik Sinovac dan mengaudit kehalalan vaksin di sana.
Sepulangnya ke Indonesia, tim masih menunggu beberapa dokumen yang kurang.
Dokumen itu diterima secara lengkap oleh tim MUI pada Selasa (05/01/2021) melalui surat elektronik.
Pada hari yang sama, tim juga merampungkan audit lapangan di Bio Farma yang nantinya akan memproduksi vaksin ini secara masal.
Tim kemudian melaporkan hasil audit tersebut kepada Komisi Fatwa MUI Pusat untuk dilakukan kajian keagamaan guna menentukan kehalalan vaksin.
Hari ini Komisi Fatwa telah menentukan kehalalan dan kesucian vaksin ini.
Namun fatwa utuh belum keluar karena masih menunggu aspek toyib atau keamanan digunakan dari BPOM.
Bila BPOM sudah mengeluarkan izin, maka vaksin produksi Sinovac ini bisa digunakan.ujarnya
